DermaPen Microneedling

DermaPen Microneedling

Introducing DermaPen; an intensive microneedling treatment that boosts collagen production to improve the appearance of scars, wrinkles, acne, pigmentation and more. If you’re looking to refresh and rejuvenate your skin with minimal downtime, this transformative facial treatment has you covered.

How does the it work?

Using tiny microneedles, the DermaPen ‘punctures’ skin as it glides across your face, which triggers a healing response deep down in your pores. This response boosts the production of plumping collagen, while the micro punctures make it easier for nutrients to be absorbed into the deeper layers of skin (for example, if you combine DermaPen with PRP).

The benefits of the treatment include:

A brighter, dewier, more radiant complexion
Reduction in the appearance of scars and pigmentation
Boost in collagen production to soften fine lines and wrinkles
Helps to refine pores and skin texture
Smoothing of skin texture
Enhanced skincare effects, as formulas can be absorbed deeper

FAQ

Anyone who wants treatment for scarring, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne, dark spots or uneven texture. DermaPen microneedling will improve the appearance of skin for a clearer, smoother, more radiant complexion. We recommend a course of 3-4 treatments in order to achieve optimal results, and for the effects to last longer.

It takes 4-6 weeks before the optimal effects of your DermaPen treatment will appear, and these results typically last for 3-5 months. You can maintain the effects by sticking to a good skin routine, featuring double-cleansing, serum, moisturiser and a daily veil of sunscreen. However, we also suggest returning for follow-up treatments (typically a course of 3-4) for best results.

You may experience some discomfort during your DermaPen treatment. However, this is minor and goes away directly after treatment. Your practitioner can apply a numbing cream beforehand to make you feel more comfortable as the DermaPen gets to work.

Expect a downtime period of around 48 hours. In this time, skin may appear red and sensitive, but it often heals up quickly. Try to avoid makeup and any acid-based skincare during this time, and make sure you apply SPF before you go outside.

DermaPen delivers a type of microneedling, so there’s no difference. The name ‘DermaPen’ applies to the clever device we use, which looks like a small pen and glides over skin to create those tiny, pore-plumping punctures.
