Prolapse

Pelvic prolapse can be uncomfortable and painful for many women. With the help of Votiva, mild to moderate prolapse can easily be treated surgery-free. Using powerful radiofrequency technology Votiva can safely and effectively reduce the size of prolapse.

Votiva is a pain free alternative treatment method that has zero downtime. The procedure can be used for both prolapses protruding from the vagina and the rectum. Multiple Votiva treatments may be necessary to give patients desired results.

FAQ

Before your Votiva treatment, you will come in for a consultation, where your practitioner will determine whether or not you are a suitable candidate. Do not book in if you are pregnant or have any metal-containing coils. You will also need to postpone treatment if you are on your period, have an active tan or use sun beds often.

It is advised that you book in for three treatments two to four weeks apart, followed by maintenance once per year to achieve optimal results. The length of each treatment can be as short as 20 minutes.

No, it is not painful. You may feel a warming sensation as the wand heats up the skin, but there will be no discomfort.

Good news: there is no downtime after your Votiva treatment, so you can simply get up and go about your day as usual. There may just be some slight redness as a result of the heat.
