Hyaluronic acid has long been lauded for its hero hydrating effects. In serums, in face masks and in moisturising creams, it's the go-to ingredient for plumping parched pores. But, as more of us look to non-invasive needles to nourish skin from within, it's not just topical HA that's getting praise; injectable hyaluronic acid is gaining in popularity too.
Scarring
Cosmetic concerns such as scars, stretch marks and acne scarring can be treated in a number of ways. Depending on the depth, age and severity of damaged scar tissue non-surgical or surgical intervention may be required.
Non-surgical methods include using fractional laser light and Dermapen to create controlled trauma to the skins tissue, which stimulates new collagen and elastin growth. Products such as Heal Gel are also recommended.
During your consultation a skin specialist will be able to create a bespoke treatment plan to help achieve a reduction in scar tissue. A course of treatments will be necessary for most scars and stretch marks.
